Do you like animals? Have you ever wondered what if would be like to live in a place where it snows in the winter? Get ready to become a private detective and find out all about the animals in the Jan Brett’s story, The Mitten.

Task

We will begin our investigation by reading Jan Brett’s book, The Mitten. Then we will learn all about the animals in the story. We will also learn about winter weather. Finally, we will make and perform our version of The Mitten.

Process

2.    Learn about winter weather (the setting) of the story.
