1. Read THE GROUCHY LADYBUG with your partner.
2. Make one chart like the one below and write what the
grouchy ladybug did each hour of the day.
5:00 A.M. The friendly ladybug and the
grouchy ladybug met on the leaf to eat aphids.

the main character from the story.

meaning of "respect" by clicking on the ÒI RESPECT OTHERSÓ icon and
then go to the word ÒrespectÓ above.
Click on it to read more about respect.

5. Now you need
to research real ladybugs. Click on the life-like ladybug above. Read the
page and together, write 3 facts in sentences.
6. You and your
partner can make your own friendly and grouchy ladybugs from rocks. You will
need 2 round flat small rocks. Paint them red and let them dry. Then use a
permanent black marker to draw the dots. Glue 2 eyes on the part you want to
be the head.
7. Wow! Your
quest is almost over. Talk with your partner about how all the characters in
the story were feeling. Act out with your partner what any of the story
characters might say to the grouchy ladybug about respecting the feelings of
others.
