Introduction

  • It’s January. It’s been raining off and on for weeks. You turn on the faucet and you have water. Of course, it’s been raining.
  • It’s September. It hasn’t rained since April Fool’s Day. You turn on the faucet. You have water. Why????
  • If you plan on living in Sacramento, you need to answer this question. How does Sacramento have water all year ‘round?

Task

  • You need to answer:
  • 1. Who is in charge of providing Sacramento with water?
  • 2. Where does the water that comes from our faucets come from?
  • 3. Is it possible for Sacramento to run out of water?
