Introduction

Murals are a great way for a city or town to beautify its bleak and sterile walls.  Although these giant paintings bring joy to many passers by, not many people know who created them.  The focal point of this assignment will be to acknowledge one of the greatest mural painters, Diego Rivera, and the works of his that are right under our nose.

Task

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art has decided to do a retrospective on the murals of Diego Rivera, that are located within the city of San Francisco.  You have been given the task to research and locate these fine works of art.

Process

·        You are to work in a group of two or three people.  Your group will be responsible for 1) choosing a Diego Rivera mural that is located in San Francisco.  2)  Research the particular mural, and show an image of it.  3)  Design a map to show how to get to the mural.  4)  Give some general background on the artist, Diego Rivera.  Here are a few web links that will help to get you started :  www.riveramural.com  & http://www.sanfranciscoart.edu/dr.htm .
