Introduction

·   Mr. Johnson is gone for two weeks because he swallowed his bassoon reed. You have the opportunity to choose your own instrument without his influence and interference.

Task

·   After you pick the instrument of your choice, search the web for the history and description of the instrument. You will prepare a presentation for the class about that instrument. Please include pictures. Your report must also be printed out to turn in.

Process

·   As we studied the various instruments last year, you may already have chosen one. If so good for as you’re already ahead. If you need to make a choice still, you can get on the web to find out about the various instruments.

·   The students will have acquired a better understanding of the various instruments of the band. Each student  has selected the instrument that he wishes to play. The students will have improved their web search skills and are better able to give an oral presentation.
