Personality Assessment:  It’s all about you, baby!

Assignment for February 5, 2003

This may count as a 10 point quiz

This is an assignment to get you warmed up into the realm of personal reflection and introspection.  Reflection and introspection are going to be the hallmarks of the writing in this course, so be sure you keep any insights that crop up noted someplace for use in your papers.

Part 1.  Complete Personality Assessment

1.1  Go to the website http://www.advisorteam.com/user/ktsintro1.asp, and take the personality assessment.  Proceed all the way till you get the “free” results that look like the temperament report (below).  DON'T purchase your materials ...just work until you get your "type" for free.

1.2  Print this page, or copy your results from this webpage and paste into a word processing document.  You can do this by dragging your mouse over the free results, copy them (Ctrl + c) and paste (Ctrl + v) into a word file.  Print the results.

1.3  Bring your assessment results to class on February 5 to share with your Zodiac Group.   You might want to save this file for later reference in your papers.

Part 2.  Learn About Your Type.

2.1  Now go to the website http://www.advisorteam.com/ and follow through the links to your personality type.

2.2  Read this material, print out if you’d like, and save for later reference.

2.3  Consider these reflection questions (you’ll also discuss these in your Zodiac Groups)

·        What is your type, and what qualities are associated with your type?

·        Does your assessment type seem accurate?  What seems like “you” and what isn’t?

·        What does your “type” have to say about 1) your personal life and relationships 2) your professional direction and 3) your recreation life?
