Professor Sheafer's Biography

Professor Beverley M. Sheafer is an Assistant Professor in the Construction Management Program. She has been on faculty since January 2004.

Professor Sheafer is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philisophy in Construction Technology Management through Indiana State University. She received a Master of Science in Management from The Florida Institute of Technology (Melbourne) in 2003. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning Studies from Temple University (Philadelphia), received in 1986.

Prior to entering academia, Professor Sheafer spent 20+ years in the AEC industry as a Project Controls Manager. Her expertise includes schedule management, cost control, documentation systems, contract management and claims analysis.

Project experience includes rail systems (TRI-RAIL’s New River Bridge Project in Ft. Lauderdale FL), theme parks (Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure in Orlando FL), schools (Orange County FL School Board 5-year Renovation Program), and airports (Orlando International Airport Build-out Program).
