CAMERA ANGLES ASSIGNMENT
50 Points (5 points each)
Each shot will be graded on: focus, stability/movement, framing, exposure, and lighting (natural)
Up to 5 points will be taken off total score for editing

Working with a standing person shoot the following camera angles:

ALL video clips should be shot with a tripod and should have no areas of underexposure
or overexposure and should utilize the rule of thirds standard. There should also be
appropriate headroom, and no distracting cropping choices and/or backgrounds.

Camera noise and blurring of your subject(s) are also unacceptable.
You should shoot people and either have them pose silently, gesture or speak.
You will not be graded on the gestures or speaking, but on the imagery.

Each shot will be ten seconds long (except for pan and tilt which will be the appropriate length for the move--up to you) with a 15 frame cross dissolve on either end. The titles will also have a 15 frame cross dissolve on either end.

That does not mean you should only shoot 10 seconds of footage.
I like to shoot at least a 3-1 ratio, so that would mean shooting
30 seconds for a 10 second shot. Be careful not to
lean on your tripod or touch your camera during those thirty seconds.
That may cause camera shake.

The shots should be in the order
listed below with titles (of the shots) preceding each one.

The title should be onscreen long enough to read twice with a
15 frame cross dissolve on either side.

There should be three seconds of black between each shot and each title.

Long Shot, Medium Shot, Medium Close Up, Close Up, Two Shot, Over the Shoulder, High Angle, Low Angle, Pan and Tilt

Shoot one two-shot.
Examples:
(you can choose your own—these are just for reference)

One over the shoulder shot: (one point)
Examples: (you can choose your own these are just for reference)

Please shoot one of each--High Angle and Low Angle. You do not have
to use the same set-up for the people in the frame. Just use rule of thirds
composition. All camera distances are acceptable as well. You get to be creative!

Pan and Tilt (two separate shots)

Each of these camera moves should
begin with a static shot at the beginning and at the end of each
move. They should be smooth and should reveal something in the
frame. Examples
You do not have to shoot a person for your camera moves(but you can).
You just have to reveal something at the end of each move.
