Dr. David Nutter, director, University of California, Davis Early Music Ensemble, whose choir performed the Latin liturgical works of Josquin des Prez, Thomas Tallis, William Byrd and Johannes Ockeghem to the Japanese tea ceremony on 21 May 1992 at the St. Francis Church, Sacramento, California. Major sponsors for the performance were the Office of the President, Donald R. Gerth, California State University, Sacramento, Nordstrom, the Merchants Bank, and Mount Eden Vineyards.
