Europa-Universität Flensburg, Germany

Nestled between wooded ranges of hills at the innermost tip of the Flensburg Fjord, Europa-Universität Flensburg is one of nothern Germany's leading educational institutions, and offers a range of academic fields of study. Situated directly at the German-Danish border, Flensburg is the northernmost port in Germany and is considered to be the “gateway to Scandinavia” by land as well as by sea. The city offers over 700 years of history just waiting to be discovered. The university has a population of about 5,000 students and is located 2 km from the city center, which is easily accessible by bike, bus, or foot.

Academic Eligibility

  • 2.75 GPA or higher at the time of application
  • One semester completed at Sacramento State
  • Sophomore or higher standing (30+ units completed)
  • Students will take German Language while abroad

Housing Options

For the Spring Semester the rental period is from the 1st of March until the 31st of August and for the Fall Semester the rental period is from the 1st of September until the 28th of February. The average monthly payment is approximately 250€ with a 350€ security deposit (to be paid only once). Prices vary according to the location and amenities. Altogether there are four different student residence halls in Flensburg.

All student residence comprise self-catering accommodation with shared kitchen and cooking facilities. Some rooms have private facilities. Students must supply their own bed linen and towels as well as dishes and kitchenware (pots, pans, etc.).
