How To Submit Your Sac State Application


  1. Complete the Cal State Apply online application.  We strongly recommend that you review the Cal State Apply International Student Guide before applyling.  Please note that a non-refundable application fee of $55 USD will need to be paid before submitting the application online using a credit/debit card or PayPal account.  Checks or money order are not be accepted. If you are unable to access the application online, we encourage you to download the International First-Time Freshman or Transfer application and submit it to intlinfo@csus.edu.

After applying, please submit the following documents to our office:

  1. Original or certified copies of Academic Credentials (high school transcript, marksheets, diploma, college transcripts, etc) with literal English translation.  
  2. Order English Proficiency Score Report (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS, PTE)
  3. Financial statement (no older than 6 months) and Sacramento State Financial Affidavit demonstrating source (sponsored, self-funded, etc.) showing a minimum amount of $30,300 (USD) to support academic study at Sacramento State. Both documents are needed for Sac State to issue an I-20.
  4. A copy of the passport biographic information/photo page.

Requested documents may be sent via email, but should be legible, clear, and submitted as PDF attachments. Missing and blurry documents will delay the review process and prevent staff from issuing an admission decision in a timely manner. Please send the completed PDF application and documents to: intlinfo@csus.edu.

 

 


 

  1. Unofficial test scores may be submitted for the review process, but official test scores are required upon accepting an admission offer.  TOEFL scores may be ordered through ETS and requested to be sent to Sac State using the school code 004671.

  2. IELTS scores may be requested to be sent by asking British Council to send official scores to the following   address:

  1. For international transfer students transferring from U.S. (domestic) universities and college, please request official DOMESTIC transcripts to be sent to the address below.

                   Electronic Transcripts
                   Sac State accepts electronic transcripts from other US institutions. Official electronic must be sent directly from your college to our campus via: incomingtranscripts@csus.edu

 

  1. For international transfer students transferring from foreign (outside of the U.S.) universities and colleges, please request official transcripts to be sent to the International Admissions office:

For the application review process, unofficial transcripts are acceptable.  Please note that if admission offer is given, official transcripts must be submitted for transfer credit to be posted. Our office may request additional course syllabi for further review and evaluation.
