Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The 2020-21 Fulbright U.S. Student Program Competition opens on Monday, April 1, 2019. The Sacramento State Campus Deadline is Friday, September 13, 2019.

The goal of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program is to promote mutual understanding through a commitment to the free flow of ideas and people across national boundaries. Fulbright grants provide students with the opportunity to study and conduct research abroad. The grants offer students the opportunity to experience another culture, to contribute research to their field of study, and to develop leadership skills and their careers. Grants may provide funds for round-trip international travel and living expenses for the tenure of the award.

Interested students should begin the application process by learning about the Fulbright Program from the Institute of International Education (IIE) website. IIE administers the Fulbright grants and provides all necessary information pertaining to the program, types of grants available, eligibility requirements, and individual country specifications.
