Team Information Resources & Technology (IRT) is looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative leader who wants to contribute to the core mission and goals of California State University, Sacramento. As the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students, our customer service teams are the critical connection point for technology services that contribute to teaching, learning, and ultimately the success of our students.

Join Team IRT as the Technology Support Coordinator at California State University, Sacramento! Reporting to the Customer Services Director, your role is as exactly as the title sounds, and so much more. You’ll provide just-in-time, break/fix and hands-on technology training and support, connect campus units with the right resources, services, and personnel to supplement support or services, and cross-train colleagues to help guide technology services and support. You’ll collaborate with leaders, colleagues, and stakeholders to develop technology roadmaps, strategies, plans, and solutions based on goals, needs, and priorities of campus units. Beyond IRT Service Desk duties, you’ll serve as a process improvement champion, driving meaningful adoption and use of technologies that meet the needs of faculty, staff and students. You’ll be personally invested in client satisfaction and issue resolution, help manage expectations to deliver quality, sustainable solutions, and ensure that campus units have the training and other job aids they need to use technology effectively.

Join the IRT Operations and Network Services (ONS) team as a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst! This position provides technical expertise in a highly distributed technical environment at California State University, Sacramento. As part of a cross-functional team, the Cloud Infrastructure Analyst is primarily responsible for the administration, operation, configuration, and security of the universities’ private and public cloud (Azure, AWS, Vcloud or GCD) infrastructure design and architecture. You’ll work closely with campus stakeholders to develop, plan, project manage, support, and secure critical IT infrastructures such as on-prem storage and server virtualization environment, as well as lead efforts to develop public cloud solutions that fit strategic goals. Guided by CSU and university standards and practices, this position will collaborate across IRT to solve problems and contribute to IT planning and decision making.

Network Analyst

Information Resources & Technology (IRT) is seeking a Network Analyst with a broad spectrum of technical and interpersonal skills to help design, operate, maintain, and optimize enterprise network services for the University in support of business needs and strategic goals. You’ll provide exceptional customer service to campus users regarding network connectivity, handle tickets from the IRT Service Desk, and participate in cross-functional teams to support campus network administration. Reporting to the IRT Senior Director of Operations & Network Services, the Network Analyst will work both independently and closely with other members of the support team, and analyze, troubleshoot, configure, and manage IP networks, including monitoring network traffic and usage, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to optimize network performance. Also key to this role is the ability to maintain network security and the integrity of data carried on the networks, assist with implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures, and writing and maintaining technical documentation.

As part of IRT’s commitment to 24×7×365 network up time and our customer service-focused mission, we need an individual with a positive, solutions-oriented personality, and the ability and willingness to work flexible, on-call hours based on business needs.

Project Manager Business Analyst

Reporting to the IRT Senior Director of Planning and Strategic Projects, you’ll work as a  member of the Project Management Office, and focus on projects incorporating technology to support student success and teaching and learning. You’ll work with diverse users including faculty, staff and students, and under minimal direction will independently coordinate, plan, support, and execute enterprise-wide and division information technology projects on time and within budget. In collaboration with all IRT departments and functional divisions, you’ll manage the Project Management Life Cycle from beginning to end, establish multi-disciplinary stakeholder and project team buy-in, apply your knowledge and understanding of industry-accepted methodologies (i.e., Project Management Institute), and leverage best practices/lessons learned to provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions for a wide range of business and academic needs.
