Join the IRT Operations and Network Services (ONS) team as a Cloud Infrastructure Analyst! This position provides technical expertise in a highly distributed technical environment at California State University, Sacramento. As part of a cross-functional team, the Cloud Infrastructure Analyst is primarily responsible for the administration, operation, configuration, and security of the universities’ private and public cloud (Azure, AWS, Vcloud or GCD) infrastructure design and architecture. You’ll work closely with campus stakeholders to develop, plan, project manage, support, and secure critical IT infrastructures such as on-prem storage and server virtualization environment, as well as lead efforts to develop public cloud solutions that fit strategic goals. Guided by CSU and university standards and practices, this position will collaborate across IRT to solve problems and contribute to IT planning and decision making.

Information Resources & Technology (IRT) is seeking a Network Analyst with a broad spectrum of technical and interpersonal skills to help design, operate, maintain, and optimize enterprise network services for the University in support of business needs and strategic goals. You’ll provide exceptional customer service to campus users regarding network connectivity, handle tickets from the IRT Service Desk, and participate in cross-functional teams to support campus network administration. Reporting to the IRT Senior Director of Operations & Network Services, the Network Analyst will work both independently and closely with other members of the support team, and analyze, troubleshoot, configure, and manage IP networks, including monitoring network traffic and usage, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to optimize network performance. Also key to this role is the ability to maintain network security and the integrity of data carried on the networks, assist with implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures, and writing and maintaining technical documentation.

Under the direction of the Director of Web & Mobile Services, your focus will be to support campus web content editors and publishers under a singular, accessible content strategy and voice. You’ll serve as a coach for campus content publishers, sharing best practices to ensure all content for the main campus website and associated sub-sites meets accessibility compliance requirements, including Section 508, ADA, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG at the 2.0 level. Working with your IRT colleagues and key campus publishers, you’ll employ industry tools to analyze and make recommendations to streamline site-wide content, and proactively help guide and coordinate ongoing accessibility efforts for web content in all formats (PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint files, videos, images, and audio).

We’re in search of an agile professional with hard and soft skills experience – from technical/creative writing and programming, creating wireframes, developing interactive prototypes and user flows, fluency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript – matched with exceptional people skills to enhance IRT’s trusted campus partner mission.

Education & Experience

Experience defining data governance initiatives, policies and guidelines, promoting a reliable, secure, supportable environment, and collaborating with campus units are also key, desired skillsets.

You will also serve as a primary technical resource for a module, such as Admissions, Student Records, Advisement, Financial Aid, Student Financials, Transfer Credit, Catalog/Schedule, or HCM, and frequently consult with campus divisions to better understand their enterprise software needs.
