Dr. Jennifer Schwedler

Associate Chief Information Officer

Dr. Jen Schwedler joined the Sacramento State family in Fall 2015 as the Director of the Technology Learning Center for Information Resources & Technology. Jen leads the team innovating and expanding the Sacramento State learning landscape through technological advancement, implementation, and guided support. She collaborates with campus organizations to build awareness and adoption of technologies that enhance the work of faculty, staff, and students, and supports the development of curriculum that champions accessibility and embraces new and emerging trends. Her team helps guide the implementation, introduction and ongoing training for campus-wide programs and systems including Smart Planner/KEYS to Degree Toolbox, SacCT/Blackboard, Mediasite lecture capture, Microsoft Office programs, research tools including Qualtrics, and more. In her more than 15-year background in public education, she has served at every level from teaching to administration. Her wealth of perspective – from the student chair to the teacher’s lectern – is at the core of her philosophy that champions the integration of technology into the classroom and beyond.

A lifelong learner, Jen holds a B.A. in English from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, an M.A. in Education from Johns Hopkins University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership & Management, with a concentration in Learning Technologies, from Drexel University.
