About Wireless Certificates
Sac State employs Wi-Fi certificates, which identify and encrypt your login credentials to provide secure network access. They’re like a digital passport to confirm that your device is connecting to an actual campus network, and not an impostor.
I received a Wireless Certificate pop-up warning ― what should I do?
A Wireless Certificate pop-up notice can indicate that something is unsafe, and that you shouldn’t continue logging in. Check to see that it’s one of these types before you click accept/connect.
I never received a Wireless Certificate alert ― should I be concerned?
Your device (typically Android's) may be set to ignore certificates, and will automatically connect to the network and accept a new certificate.
If you have any concerns or questions about secure wireless connections, please contact the IRT Service Desk Team.
