Cybersecurity is Hornet Family Business

Sacramento State's Information Resources & Technology team leads campus in the shared responsibility for cybersecurity and cyberawareness. October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and the IRT team is taking an active role in making sure campus stays safe through an updated Information Security web page, increased social media messaging on Facebook and Twitter, and the following coordinating activities:

Sacramento State became an official champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, joining hundreds of organizations and higher ed institutions in the commitment to spread awareness and empower users. 

CIO Miller Speaks at CA Cybersecurity Education SummitDr. Christine E. Miller

On October 10, 2017, Vice President and Chief Information Officer Dr. Christine E. Miller 
was among a panel of speakers featured at the State of California Cybersecurity Education Summit 2017. This annual event gathers thought leaders from industry, government, and academia to engage, inform, train, and empower California to stay ahead of cyber threats. California State University, Sacramento hosts this event in conjunction with four state partners including the California Department of Technology, the California Office of Emergency Services, the California Military Department, and the California Highway Patrol. Visit the Cybersecurity Education Summit event site for more information.
