Transfer Day 2001 Set for Feb. 19

California State University, Sacramento helps to ease the transition for junior college students at Transfer Day 2001 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., Monday, February 19.

Transfer Day 2001 will provide incoming students with information about CSUS as well as the college transfer process. On-the-spot admissions will be available for those who qualify and no appointments are necessary.

"The event is designed to be transitional, to help explain the transfer process and provide general information that an incoming student would be interested in," said Barbara Sloan of University Outreach.

Highlights of Transfer Day 2001 include campus tours, financial aid workshops and motivational strategies speeches. Information about student services and activities such as childcare, housing, health coverage and athletics will also be available that day.

"Each college will have a presentation and a representative available. This provides the students with a chance to connect with the college they will study in when they get here and learn about the University's student support services," said Sloan.

Last year, more than 250 people attended the event and 67 transfer students were enrolled at CSUS through on-the-spot admission.
