Life Center offers chances for seniors to maintain health
State University, Sacramento’s Life Center, a health and wellness organization
designed for older adults has released its spring schedule of exercise and
health classes at the Julia Morgan House and Gardens, located at 3731 T Street
in Sacramento. They are:
- Strength and Circuit Training, weightlifting and flexibility exercises,
4:30 - 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, $50 per month.
for Life, strength and stretching exercises designed for those with
arthritis, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, etc., 9:30 - 10:30
a.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, $50 per month.
Fitness Plus for Men, treadmill and stationary bicycles for aerobic
exercise, 3:15- 4:15 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, $50 per month.
Chi, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m., Thursdays, $20 per month.
12:15 - 1:15 p.m. Mondays and 8:15 - 9:15 a.m., Tuesdays, $25 per month.
and Fall Risk Reduction, exercises and activities to maintain motor
skills, 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays,
- 3 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, $95 for the seven-week session.
and Strengthening, activities designed to maintain mobility, 12 - 1
p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, $45 per month.
and Strengthening, posture and relaxation techniques, 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.,
8:45-9:45 a.m., or 11:05 a. m. - 12:05 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays, $45 per month.
The Life Center is a program of the University’s College of Health and
Human Services. It provides wellness services for older adults and professional
development opportunities for students interested in careers related to gerontology
and health promotion. The staff consists of CSUS faculty and students.
