Comedians Light Up the Night at CSUS

Sacramento-based comedian Jack Gallagher, one of the top nightclub entertainers in the United States, headlines this year's free annual "Stars Under the Stars" outdoor comedy show at California State University, Sacramento. The event takes place on Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m., at Joe Serna Jr. Plaza next to the University Union.

Gallagher's numerous television credits include his own ABC sitcom "Bringing Up Jack," "Cheers" and regular appearances on "The Tonight Show." He also hosts the televised production of the California Lottery's "The Big Spin" and the popular PBS series "Money Matters." His screen credits include the feature films Shakes the Clown with Bobcat Goldthwait and Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood. Sacramento audiences are particularly familiar with him through his comedic turns as the spokesperson for Crystal Ice Cream and through his critically acclaimed one-man theatrical show Letters to Declan.

"Stars Under the Stars" also features two other outstanding comedians. Alan Gordon who has wowed audiences with his musical comedy - inspired by the likes of Weird Al and Adam Sandler - at the Riviera Comedy Club in Las Vegas, the Comedy Store in Hollywood and colleges throughout the country. Karen Anderson has performed at many major comedy clubs and appears regularly on Comedy Central, Fox, Lifetime, VH-1, and A&E.
