Christmas concert comes to campus

Sacramento may not be known for its white Christmas, but it does have a Tuba Christmas event on its way.

Tuba tunes for the season can be heard at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Music Recital Hall at California State University, Sacramento.

The free holiday concert usually draws about 150 performers, ranging from age 9 to 90. Tuba players will come from the Sacramento area, as well as Reno, Fresno, San Jose and Redding.

Free parking is available in the parking garage, adjacent to the music building at CSUS.

For more information, call conductor Steve Iwata at (916) 324-9410. Additional media assistance is available by contacting the CSUS public affairs office at 278-6156.
