CSUS Festival of the Arts Springs to Life

This spring, California State University, Sacramento bursts with creativity at the ninth annual Festival of the Arts, March 23 - 31. See the Festival of the Arts Calendar of events.

More than 20,000 people attended last year's various dance, design, art, poetry, theatre and music events. This year's festival promises to be just as exciting, with featured lectures and exhibits by Aaron Betsky, curator of architecture and design at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Suzanne Anker, artist and professor at the New York School of Visual Arts; Kim Addonizio, poet and National Book Award nominee, as well as many other celebrated artists.

CSUS School of the Arts faculty members created the festival's diverse program which will include free and ticketed events such as exhibits by cinematographer Mark Herzig, puppetry, dance, cabaret, poetry, flamenco fusion, a production of Heather McDonald's play Dream of a Common Language and music performances by internationally acclaimed recorder player Marion Verbruggen as well as the CSUS Jazz, Symphony, Orchestra and Choir ensembles.
