CSUS Beach Bash Welcomes
New Semester

The California State University, Sacramento Aquatic Center will host its first-ever Beach Bash on Saturday, Sept. 23. The CSUS Aquatic Center is located at 1901 Hazel Avenue in Rancho Cordova, 15 minutes from CSUS on Highway 50.

The free event will begin at 8 a.m. with "Brookfields Run for Your Boats," a running and paddling race for teams and individuals. From noon to 6 p.m. a "Welcome Back Student Fair" will offer many activities including a "Dunk Your ASI President Booth." Free kayak and canoe use will be available between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m.

The day will conclude with a free concert at 6 p.m. featuring Bakra Beta steel drums and percussion dance and Masquerade. Food will be for sale and parking is free. After 5 p.m., there will be a $6 parking fee for those without a student or faculty parking pass. No glass bottles are allowed.

This event is sponsored by the CSUS Aquatic Center, Recreational Sports, Unique, and ASI Student Services.
