Education Conference to Focus on Multiculturalism

The bilingual/multicultural education department at California State University, Sacramento will host the fifth annual Multicultural Education Conference from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. on April 10 in the University Union. This year's theme is "Multiculturalism in the Coming Millennium."

The conference will address how educators, students, and communities can promote equity, justice, and pluralism in the coming century.

It will feature numerous 50-minute sessions highlighting educational topics related to multicultural education, bilingualism, gender equity, ethnicity, social class, people with disabilities, and other issues that impact the lives of students in K-12 public education in California.

The conference is free and open to the public.
