Family-Friendly Concert Rehearsals Open to Media

Cameras and reporters are welcome at three upcoming rehearsals for the family-friendly classical concert and theatre performance, Niam: Portrait of a Gnome at California State University, Sacramento.

Dance and puppet rehearsals will be held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23 and from 7 to 10 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29. Both rehearsals will be in the Music Recital Hall in Capistrano Hall.

A full dress rehearsal is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2 in Music Recital Hall or across the hall in Room 143.

The free public performance will be at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 and at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5 in the Music Recital Hall. The elaborate production, featuring the CSUS Symphony Orchestra, Richard Bay Puppets and Sacramento Black Art of Dance, will provide families with a rare opportunity for children to experience live musical theatre.
