Voter Education Day at CSUS
California State University, Sacramento has been chosen to host the state's annual "Voter Education Day."
This year, the event will be in the Library Quad from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4. At 11:45 CSUS President Donald R. Gerth will introduce the event's keynote speaker, California Secretary of State Bill Jones.
The event will focus on the importance of youth voters and is designed to increase political awareness for the upcoming presidential election. Information booths will be set up by various political clubs on campus along with designated areas for voter registration.
Games and activities such as "inflatable sumo wrestling" will be available, in addition to a free barbecue lunch.
