Our Chapter

The American Marketing Association (AMA) at Sacramento State is dedicated to branding your future.  Reinstated as a club at Sac State in Fall 2014, the AMA started with about 9 members.  Since then our club has seen tremendous growth with a membership roster of nearly 30 by Spring 2015.  We have committed to bringing great speakers on campus to meet with our members and create networking opportunites throughout the semester.  We have provided projects to enhance skills and resumes, and social events like "Taco Tuesday" and AMA Mixers to create an environment for peer-relationships and networking to flourish.

National AMA

With a membership of nearly 40,000, you can join the largest marketing association in North America!  With roots dating back to the early 1900's, the American Marketing Association (AMA) has reached many milestones and built a reliable community of industry leaders. In addition to collegiate chapters, the AMA has grown to 75 local professionl chapters that offer members activities and benefits (networking, education, presentations, applications, and solutions).

A professional association for individuals and organizations involved in marketing, AMA is the source for every day for information/resources, education/training and professional networking.  AMA members are connected to a network of leading marketing academics, researchers and practitioners from every industry. AMA offers seminars, workshops and Hot Topic events, as well as trends shaping the future. The AMA also is the source for the field’s top magazines and journals, including Marketing News.

Every year, the national AMA chapter hosts an International Collegiate Conference in early spring.  This event provides a platform for college students to network with their peers from across the nation and enter their collegiate chapter in various competitions in a fight for the top.
