The purpose of the RCA Awards Program is to support faculty research, scholarly, and creative activity, and to encourage faculty contributions to their disciplines. This program is funded in part through the CSU Chancellor's Office and Academic Affairs. It is administered by the RCA Subcommittee with support from the Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development.

Award recipients must produce a scholarly deliverable, such as an article or manuscript to be submitted for peer-reviewed publication, or a grant proposal, juried exhibition, performance, etc. Award recipients must also submit a required project report documenting the results of their work at the conclusion of the funding period.

All Unit 3 faculty are eligible and encouraged to apply (including full-time faculty, part-time faculty, temporary faculty, probationary and tenured faculty, lecturers, coaches, librarians, and counselors, as outlined in the Unit 3 Bargaining Agreement).

2019-20 Award Cycle

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019/20 RCA Faculty Awards Competitions. DEADLINE EXTENDED: Applications must be submitted through InfoReady Review by 5pm on Friday, December 7, 2018.

The Applicant Information Session was canceled due to campus closures and will not be rescheduled. The PowerPoint that was to be presented at this session can be found here.

Information for Awardees - Final Reports
All awardees of the 2017-18 competition must submit a final report to the Subcomittee documenting the results of their project. Reports must be submitted through InfoReady Review by Monday, October 1, 2018 by 5pm.

The reporting function  located within the original proposal submitted through InfoReady.
