Most of Sacramento State’s 3,281 eligible graduates celebrated Winter Commencement this weekend at Sleep Train Arena. Ceremonies were held Dec. 14-15 for the University’s seven colleges.


The proceedings included a moment of silence for two Communication Studies professors who died this year, Bonnie Kay and Nick Trujillo, as well as for the victims of Friday’s school shootings in Connecticut.

The colleges and the number of graduates this winter:

Friday, Dec. 14

College of Arts and Letters: 532 graduates

College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics: 166 graduates

College of Business Administration: 695 graduates

Saturday, Dec. 15

College of Health and Human Services: 737 graduates

College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies: 605 graduates

College of Engineering and Computer Science: 277 graduates

College of Education: 269 graduates
