How I Work With Students

As the Urgent Care Counselor, my passion is to help students feel that they have the power and control to change their lives through understanding the cause of their distress, and learning to be more compassionate to themselves while working through their problems.

I was born in Tehran, Iran, grew up in Europe, and have been living in California for the past 16 years. Due to this history, I have adopted a multi-cultural view of diversity and how multiple systems impacts us. I also use a strength based integrative approach during therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Contextual Therapy skills.
