How I Work With Students

When working with students, I like to utilize a Solution Focused approach, meaning my approach is future focused, goal directed and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems. This being said, I am always willing to be flexible in session and cater my approach to the presentation of the student. I find that connecting with and understanding the needs of my clients comes easily to me and that I am able to gain their trust quickly. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have learned the significant impact that communication has on relationships and emotional well-being. I enjoy helping my students learn to identify and meet their needs and then learn to effectively communicate them to partners/friends/family.
