Cooking Demos

picture of curry and chickenCooking Demonstrations are free to Sacramento State students; and available at Student Health & Counseling Services in the Cove kitchen located in The WELL.  Each cooking demo teaches basic cooking skills utilizing ingredients. All participants walk away with free food, useful knowledge, and a recipe they can try again at home.

Sexual Awareness for Everyone

healthy-relationshipsS.A.F.E Workshops explore different topics related to relationships and sexuality. Students will learn about safer sex strategies, healthy relationship skills, preventing sexual violence, and other themes.


 

Working Out Your Stress Workshops

stress lessStress Workshops are hosted by Student Health & Counseling Services' Active Minds program. In these workshops, students will learn strategies to manage stress and gain skills to help get through the semester.

Let's Be Blunt

Lets-Be-Blunt-small-image.pngLet's Be Blunt is an interactive workshop that allows students to learn about the effects cannabis has on one's overall emotional and physical health, and the Sac State policy surrounding Marijuana on campus, and what qualifies as "campus use."

The Body Project

the_body_project.pngThe Body Project is an interactive discussion group for people who identify as female; focused on helping them feel better about their bodies.  Participants learn to embrace size diversity and reduce their own body dissatisfaction by decreasing "fat talk" in their daily life, engaging in Body Activism, and embracing all of the wonderful non-appearance related aspects of themselves and others.  This group is led by Peer Body Project trained Sacramento State students.  *Females Only."  Participants will receive a $10 Amazon gift cart.  

 

 

Weed It Out

Photo of MarijuanaWeed It Out is an educational course that focuses on harm reduction and prevention of marijuana abuse. This peer facilitated course; is presented in a non-confrontational manner that enables students to make their own decisions about marijuana consumption.
