Fraternities and Sororities at Sac State

Attention: Delta Chi Fraternity, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Chi Fraternity, Sigma Delta Alpha Fraternity, Sigma Omega Phi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., and Xi Phi Chi are NOT recognized organizations at Sacramento State.

Being in a Fraternity or Sorority means more than just wearing Greek letters, attending meetings, and going to social events. It is about making friendships that will last far beyond your college years. It enhances your personal development through a commitment to the ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service. Fraternities and sororities look for students who share similar goals and values while respecting your individuality. Your brothers and sisters are there to support you and help make the many transitions during college easier and more memorable.

They represent national, international, local and regional organizations. Some also promote certain cultures or multiculturalism. With so many choices, more than likely there is one for you!

Sac State hosts 43 different chapters ranging in size from five to over 100 members each. While all embrace the fraternal values of brotherhood, sisterhood, service, scholarship, and leadership, some are more social in focus, while others affiliate around shared identity or special interests.
