Reinstatement
Spring 2023 Reinstatement after Disqualification
Students disqualified before Fall 2022 can reapply for our Spring 2023 semester. The Spring 2023 Reinstatement after Disqualification filling period will be from August 1 through August 31, 2023
Eligibility requirements:
- Successful completion (C- or better) of Admission requirements: A1-Oral Communication; A2-Written Communication; A3-Critical Thinking; and B4-Quantitative Reasoning (math) by the end of Fall 2022.
- Completion of all possible lower-division coursework (General Education and major prerequisites) by the end of Fall 2022.
- 60 transferable units (junior standing) by the end of Fall 2022.
- Be in "Good Standing" at the last college attended
- Apply to a non-impacted major
Spring 2023 Readmission after Dismissal
Students who have been dismissed can petition for Spring 2023 “Readmission after Dismissal” from August 1 to August 31, 2022. There are two steps in the dismissal petitioning process:
- Submit a Spring 2023 admission application
- Submit a “Readmission after Dismissal” petition
Eligibility requirements:
- Successful completion (C- or better) of General Education Areas A1-Oral Communication; A2-Written Communication; A3-Critical Thinking; and B4-Quantitative Reasoning (math) by the end of Fall 2022.
- Completion of all possible lower-division coursework (General Education and major prerequisites) by the end of Fall 2022.
- 60 transferable units (junior standing) by the end of Fall 2022.
- Apply to a non-impacted major
The petition will become available starting in August.
Readmission after Dismissal Process
There is only one type of petition for reinstatement: “Readmission after Dismissal.” The petitioning process requires that students submit a written statement addressing the following:
- problems that lead to dismissal
- describe specific changes made to resolve these problems
- reason for choosing intended major
