Sacramento Black History Month Black Expo

Come out to enjoy the Sacramento Black Expo as we celebrate Black History Month on February 26th with exhibitors, workshops, seminars, and entertainment.

The Black Expo has something for everyone with information on how to buy a home; invest in the digital currency market, find a new job or career; get access to healthcare and insurance, and all while enjoying a cavalcade of music from blues, to hip hop to jazz on two big stages.

Special guests include the legendary bluesman Fillmore Slim will headline our Blues Festival along with Raymond Coates and Joe Leavy. We will have jazz and soul stars Robyn Jackson, Trinity Sax, Levi Moses, and Les Franklin. Hip Hop legend, the Queen of Bay Area hip hop, the one and only Suga-T will perform her hits including "Sprinkle Me," on the named the Ken Hall Stage indoors, honoring the late Ken Hall in the University Union. Then the incredible DeOzene will captivate the audience with her hip hop flavor on stage. Meet the Sacramento Kings Dance team and Slamson the Mascot, then stroll around the International Shopping Plaza to find one-of-a-kind gifts, clothing, jewelry, and items.

Outdoors, in lot 6 you will find the best soul food in the city as our chefs, caterers and restaurateurs present the Soul Food for all-day delights. While outside the event, we invite you to enjoy our cars and motorcycles show that will feature stylish Corvettes and vintage cars. There will be a Health Mobile Clinic for testing; plus everyone can get a COVID Test or vaccination for COVID, as the Black Expo is a Black Vax event. Want to have some fun? Enter our pool tournament or just enjoy the game room inside the University Union. Spend your day inside the University Union at Sac State, 6000 J. Street from 11 am - 6 pm. It's all free and it's all good.

Call (916) 477-0157 for more information.

Sac State mandates that those attending the indoor event activities wear a mask; have a vaccination card or a negative COVID test 48 hours before attending. For outdoor activities, masks are optional but recommended in high populated public spaces. Join us for what promises to be a great event celebrating, history, culture, and excellence.
