1) HOW TO BUILD THE PERFECT RESUME

The resume is the tool that gets you an interview...make sure it's doing its job. Learn the essentials to building a resume and cover letter that will get noticed.

When: Tuesday, February 4th and Thursday, March 26th / 1:30 – 2:30 pm

Learn how to strategically answer tough interview questions, what to wear, and how to stand out in a selection process.

3) JOB FAIR SUCCESS BOOT CAMP

Navigating a career fair is a new experience for most students. Make the most out of your time at the fair by first attending the Job Fair Success Boot Camp. This two-hour session will teach you how to research employers, make a plan, deliver your elevator pitch when you meet employers and have a thorough follow-through afterward. This event is for all students, alumni, and any major.

When: Monday, February 24th / 2 pm – 4 pm

4) BUILDING MY PROFILE: LINKEDIN & HANDHSAKE 101

Are you using LinkedIn to its fullest capacity? Did you know you can build a profile in Handshake as well? Learn how to use these tools to network, engage, and market yourself as a professional. Laptops encouraged.

When: Tuesday, March 10th / 1:30pm - 2:30pm

5) INTERNSHIPS NOW: WHY YOU NEED ONE & HOW TO GET ONE

Internship NOW": Did you know that you are more likely to get a career-track job upon graduation if you've had an internship? Is an internship course a requirement for your degree? Do you want or need an internship, but don't know where to start? Internship and fellowship opportunities--with Fortune 500s to start-ups, with city agencies to the Federal government, and with community nonprofits to national and international charities--abound. How do you find these opportunities and compete for them? Your first tip--don't wait--start your internship search NOW! Come to this workshop to learn how.
