Makeup Exam Online Registration

For a fee of $6.00 and with the consent of the instructor, students that are unable to take an exam with the class may schedule to take a makeup exam.  Student is recommended to schedule test appointments at least five (5) days in advance. Student must also download a Makeup Exam Instruction Form or pick one up from the Testing Center and give it to their instructor.  An instruction form must be completed by faculty and submitted with the exam. Instruction form and exam may be submitted via Campus Mail (to zip 6058), dropped off in person, sealed in a secured envelope delivered by the student, or emailed to

Testing Regulations

  • PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED. If current photo ID (OneCard, current driver's license, state ID, passport, etc) is not presented, you will not be allowed to test.
  • Late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • All personal belongings must be stored in a locker located in the Testing Center.
  • The following items will NOT be allowed: electronic devices (cellphones, ipods, laptops, tablets, smartwatches, etc.), food/drinks, hats/hoodies/beanies, calculator covers, unauthorized test materials (the use of notes or textbooks must be indicated by your instructor on the test instruction form).
  • If the instructor permits the use of notes, notes will be collected and returned with the exam, unless the instructor indicates otherwise.

How to pay the fee  

The $6.00 makeup exam fee will be posted to your MySacState student account and is due within seven (7) days (you will not be charged if you do not show up for your exam appointment). Your payment options include:

  • Pay in-person at the Bursar's Office in Lassen Hall, room 1001 (highly recommended)
  • Pay online: Go to your MySacState Student Center, choose Account Inquiry, then click the green button to make an online payment. Please note that the university charges additional fees for this payment option.
    • eCheck/Debit Card $5.00 flat fee
    • Credit card 2.75% of total amount (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
