Peter & the Starcatcher

Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, Peter and the Starcatcher explores how a young orphan ultimately became Peter Pan. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.

Set in 1977, in a remotely situated Illinois farm, Buried Child represents an allegory of a rural-gothic American nuclear family as they confront their own past deeds while remaining transfixed in their present reality. Buried Child won the 1979 Pulitzer Prize for Best American Drama. An alternately funny darkly macabre play that weaves a twisted family drama of epic proportions, and a masterpiece of American modern drama.

Highlighting the diverse perspectives on the ever-evolving art form of dance, renowned faculty and professional guest artists expose audiences to riveting concepts and fierce athleticism.  This concert will take you on a journey.

Founded by Dr. Linda Goodrich in 1991, the S/BAD company follows in the footsteps of Katherine Dunham, carrying on the tradition of Black Concert dance in America.  Faculty and Guest choreographers explore the movement culture of the African and African-American diaspora through the concepts of modern dance. This exciting concert will celebrate legacy, community, and the joy of humanity.

It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. IN THE HEIGHTS is the winner of the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations.
