Portfolio (330B)

A continuation of Educational Technology in the Classroom: Applications and Integration, Part I. The course focuses on creating a portfolio that demonstrates competency in the use and applications of the computer-based technologies covered in EDTE330A. The course will consist of two, two-hour face-to-face sessions, plus online discussions, as students complete an electronic portfolio of work started in EDTE330A. The face-to-face sessions will facilitate the completion of the electronic portfolio.

Step 1 - The Reflection

Write a reflection for each CTC Standard that explains why you think you have demonstrated achievement of this performance indicator. In other words, how you think you have accomplished this standard.

Step 2 - The Artifacts

Identify the portfolio artifacts or experiences you have that demonstrate that you have met this indicator. You may have artifacts that demonstrate more than one indicator, and that is fine.

  • Write reflective statements for each artifact, elaborating on why it was selected and its meaning and value in the portfolio.

The following are a few examples of artifacts that should be included:

  • Lessons
  • Units of Practice
  • Description of implementation of technology infused UOPs with student work.
  • Evidence of effective use of technology resources at your school site
  • Evidence of your ongoing professional development in the field of educational technology
  • Evidence of your communication online with other educators in this field

Collect and store these artifacts in appropriate folders on your computer.Upload the digital files to TaskStream. (Word documents, Powerpoints, digital pictures, etc)

These will be attached to the portfolio in TaskStream.

Step 3 - The Projection

From the reflections and feedback, set learning goals for the future. The portfolio becomes a lifelong learning tool, when we take these reflections and set goals for future learning. For each performance indicator, write a statement about what you still need to learn in this area, setting some reasonable goals for yourself.

We will use the 330B Template Level I that I created for you. It is shared in TaskStream, here are the instructions for using it.
