Current Research

1995 to Present: Waste, Robert J., Roger W. Caves & Margaret Wilder, (co-editors), Book Series on Cities and Planning for Sage Publications.
1997 to Present: Consultant with the the Institue for Social Research, a university-based survey research center housed at California State University, Sacramento. Previously served as a survey research consultant with the Social Science Research laboratory at San Diego State University, and the Survey Research Center at California State University, Chico.
1997 to Present: I am working on three book length manuscripts including:
  (1) a book entitled Reinventing California analyzing recent policy efforts and programs aimed at reforming the politics and policy institutions of California; and,
  (2) a book-length manuscript entitled Bowling Together: Increasing Voting, Sustainability and Civic Participation in American Communities, analyzing contemporary efforts to increase voter participation, economic interdependence and citizenship behavior in American metropolitan areas; and
  (3) a book entitled Learning from the Homeless: Consilience and the Scientific Structure of Public Policy on the politics and policy lessons of contemporary homelessness in American metro areas
