Campus Life

Student Involvement

There are hundreds of groups, clubs, and career and leadership activities on campus. Encourage your son or daughter to join an existing group, or start a club of his or her own.

Student Organizations & Leadership

Through Student Organizations & Leadership, students have created more than 250 active clubs on campus. This office also administers the Leadership Initiative, a program that exposes students to leadership training, helps them build a network of friends, and is based on leadership models that encourage social understanding and positive change.

Centers of Diversity and Service

Sacramento State supports academic success and celebrates diversity through several service and activity centers:

Encourage your son or daughter to drop by these centers and get connected to the campus community.

The WELL is California’s best integrated collegiate health, fitness and recreation center. It is committed to providing a wide variety of outstanding and cutting-edge programs, services and equipment to the Sacramento State campus, in pursuit of its mission to encourage a habit of lifetime wellness through education, innovation and collaboration. Student Health and Counseling Services, along with Peak Adventures and the WELL Café, are all located in The WELL. Whether your son or daughter is interested in playing in an intramural basketball league, signing up for a white-water rafting trip through Peak Adventures, having a 3-Day Dietary Analysis completed, strengthening his or her rock-climbing skills, or simply looking for a place to get in a workout, The WELL offers wellness opportunities for everyone.

University Union

As Sac State’s “living room,” the University Union is an informal place for students to gather, eat, study and relax. With a number of informal lounge spaces, a games room, an art gallery, an information desk, computer and print stations, music listening rooms, a meditation area, a diverse assortment of food options, a convenience store, meeting locations, a wide variety of events, several campus centers, plus much more … campus life happens here!

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI)

ASI facilitates many of the good times and enriching experiences that students can enjoy on and off the Sacramento State campus. As the official governing body of Sacramento State students, ASI:
