ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

Policy

It is the policy of California State University, Sacramento to plan and maintain a reasonably safe environment for its students, faculty, staff and visitors.

Operations shall be conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and ordinances, and with sound and accepted environmental, health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

The President is responsible for implementation of CSUS's Environmental Health and Safety Policy at all facilities under campus control.

The appropriate Vice Presidents are responsible for implementation and enforcement of this policy in all facilities and operations within their respective areas of responsibility.

This shall include, but not be limited to, establishing and maintaining programs in their areas which will provide a safe and healthy campus environment and assigning responsibility for compliance with this Policy as it relates to operations under their control.

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety in Facilities Management is responsible for monitoring compliance with this Policy.
