About the Credit (1098T Tax Form)

The American Opportunity Tax Credit is available for students the first four years after high school. If a student attended the university at least half time during the past calendar year and completed their classes with passing grades, certain tuition, fees and course materials qualify for the credit. A 1098T Tax form is provided yearly to eligible students so that they may apply for this tax credit. If a student registered for classes through the Student Center they may access their electronic 1098T Tax Form after January 31st by following these instructions:

  1. Go the Finances section of your Student Center.
  2. Using the "other financial..." drop down menu, select "View 1098T"
  3. Select link for current year
