About Work-Study
Overview
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program offers students the opportunity to earn money to help cover educational expenses while gaining valuable, real-world work experience. Many positions are designed to support community service initiatives or align with academic and career interests—helping build skills that matter beyond the classroom.
The program is administered by the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office in partnership with the Student Employment Office, working together to connect students with meaningful employment opportunities.
Who can participate?
FWS is available to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate financial need.
What to expect:
- Flexible, part-time employment while enrolled at least half-time
- Opportunities to gain hands-on experience related to your field of study
- A chance to contribute to your campus and local community
Where you can work:
FWS positions are available with on-campus departments, as well as select off-campus partners, including nonprofit agencies.
