About the Hornet Leadership Program
The Hornet Leadership Program (HLP) empowers ECS students to stand out by building the leadership and career-ready skills employers value most. Through hands-on experiences beyond the classroom, students develop strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and professional leadership skills.
Each semester, participants take part in engaging leadership seminars/workshops, while completing leadership service hours that turn learning into action. These experiences provide real-world opportunities to collaborate with peers and mentors, connect directly with industry professionals, and gain practical skills that translate into career success.
HLP prepares students for competitive careers and graduate programs by fostering confidence, initiative, and professional growth. The program inspires students to lead with purpose, make meaningful connections, and create a lasting impact within ECS and beyond.
