About GASPPA
The mission of the Graduate Association of Students in Public Policy and Administration (GASPPA) is to provide support to the Masters of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) program at California State University, Sacramento.
GASPPA Mission
GASPPA's mission is to create a culture of student engagement, academic excellence, and professional development that grows in the classroom and impacts the community.The 2026-2027 GASPPA Board has the following priorities:
- Community & Belonging
- Advocate on behalf of graduate students and build an inclusive, supportive community where all feel valued and empowered to share diverse viewpoints.
- Professional & Leadership Development
- Offer professional development, mentorship, and networking to prepare students for careers in public policy, administration, nonprofit leadership, and public service.
- Student Connection
- Foster meaningful relationships across cohorts through engaging social events, peer support, and service activities that foster a strong sense of community.
- Outreach & Advocacy
- Enhance awareness of the graduate program and public service value through outreach to prospective students, alumni partnerships, and collaboration with the public policy community.
- Strengthen the DEI Scholarship
- Promote the long-term sustainability and stewardship of the DEI Scholarship to support current and future students' academic success.
