What is the Purpose of Caught in the Act?

We acknowledge that creating a campus of belonging requires each of us to put in effort to address issues of racism, exclusion, and all forms of oppression.

Our purpose is to shine light on those who are doing work in the Hornet community that aligns with the Antiracism & Inclusive Campus Plan.

Shine a spotlight on yourself, a student, staff, faculty, administrators, or a community member for doing the work to eliminate bias and create a more just community. Looking for nomination ideas?

  • A faculty member who makes all students feel valued, heard, and accepted
  • Students working in the Sacramento area to improve issues of equity and inclusion
  • A staff member who is provides services that interrupt bias to the Sac State community
  • An administrator who has led the charge to change a policy or remove barriers to graduation.
