Fall Poster Forum
A fun and engaging event where undergraduates, gradautes, and Spring alumni from all disciplines showcase their research, scholarship, and creative activities in a poster format. Participants and campus community members exchanged ideas, discussed new discoveries, and developed connections.

Fall 2026 Workshops
- Intro to Research & Advanced Searching Methods
- Part 1: Will provide an overview of the research process, introduce the key components of research, and will assist students in developing a strong research question.
- Part 2: In this interactive session, you will develop advanced search strategies, identify key studies in your field, and track citations on a topic over time. The workshop is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines.
- Constructing a Poster
- Will teach students how to transform their research into a visually engaging and well-organized academic poster. Participants will learn effective design principles, layout strategies, and tips for presenting their work clearly and confidently.
2026 Spring Symposium Competition
Participants deliver a 10-minute oral presentation. Monetary awards distributed to 1st and 2nd place winners.
FAQ Symposium Competition
CSU Student Research Competition
Top 10 first-place winners in the Spring Symposium competed in the annual CSU-wide Student Research Competition, which in 2026 was held at San José State University.
Sac State CSU-Wide competitors have the opportunity to have travel and lodging funded by the Student Research Center.
