About Student Research Center
Welcome to the Student Research Center!
NOTICE: In accordance with Sacramento State Return to Campus Guidelines, beginning on August 16, 2021, the Student Research Center office located in Library 2026 will be open from Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Student Research Center (SRC), an entity of Academic Affairs and the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED), exists to broaden opportunities for students to collaborate with faculty on authentic research, scholarship, and creative activities. We focus on both undergraduate and graduate student research opportunities, deliver professionalization workshops and offer opportunities for research dissemination.
How Can You Participate?
Every academic year, the Student Research Center hosts two campus-wide, multidisciplinary dissemination events, a poster event in the fall (late October or early November) and an oral presentation event in the spring (early March).
These events provide an opportunity for current undergraduate and graduate students, and recent graduates, to showcase their research, scholarly, and creative projects to the campus community.
Winners from the Spring Student Research and Creative Activity Symposium will represent Sacramento State at the CSUS Systemwide Student Research Competition, held virtually April 29-30, at San Francisco State University.
