About Student Research Center
Welcome to the Student Research Center!
Student research and creative activity is a "high-impact practice" for undergraduates. For a graduate student, it is often a critical and essential part of their program. It offers a student a chance to deeply explore a topic of interest, develop new skills, build confidence in their abilities, develop future interests, network with others with similar interests, and ignite passion for learning and exploring.
The Student Research Center (SRC), an entity of Academic Affairs and the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development (ORIED), exists to broaden opportunities for students to collaborate with faculty on authentic research, scholarship, and creative activities. We focus on both undergraduate and graduate student research, deliver professionalization workshops and offer opportunities for research dissemination.
The Student Research Center is physically located on the Second Floor of the Library, in Room 2026; however, you can also email me (the Director) or request a Zoom meeting if that works better for you.

How Can You Participate?
The Student Research Center hosts two campus-wide, multidisciplinary dissemination events each year, namely a poster event in late October and an oral presentation event in early March.
These events provide an opportunity for current undergraduate and graduate students, and recent graduates, to showcase their research, scholarly, and creative projects to the campus community.
Winners from the Spring Student Research and Creative Activity Symposium will represent Sacramento State at the 2023 CSUS Systemwide Student Research Competition, held April 28-29, at San Diego State University.
