The Division of University Advancement (or University Giving) serves the University by inspiring philanthropic support of our mission, programs, initiatives, and students.
There are many ways to donate to Sacramento State, but no matter how you choose to give, you make an impact.

Send your gift by mail
Download and complete the Sacramento State gift form. Then, indicate the area you would like to support in the memo line of your check.

Give gifts-in-kind or real property
Gifts-in-kind are tangible personal property or other physical assets that are of value to the University, such as artwork, books, equipment, etc.
Gifts of real property, such as land, farms, personal residences, and rental or commercial property, can relieve capital gains taxes, eliminate property expenses, and benefit the University's long-term philanthropic goals.
Gifts of real property include cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin (BTC), and you can make them by establishing a donor-advised fund (DAF) through a sponsoring organization. The DAF would then convert your gift into dollars for transfer to Sacramento State.

How the University deposits gifts
All gifts are deposited through the University Foundation at Sacramento State (UFSS), a 501(c)(3) organization serving as the primary philanthropic auxiliary for Sacramento State, acquiring and managing financial and other resources for the University.
