When we measure “distances” on the sky, we use angles, or angular distances, and angular sizes…

• The angular distance from one horizon to another is 180o

• The angular distance from one horizon to the zenith is 90o

• The angular size of the full moon is 1/2o

• The angular size of the Sun is 1/2o
