About Accelerated College Entrance
Welcome to the Accelerated College Entrance (ACE) Program
ACE is Sacramento State’s dual enrollment program. It began in 1985 through CA Executive Orders 314, 397, and 461 to provide reduced fees for high school students in special programs in college and university. Today, ACE exists in 11 high school districts, in 30 high schools, and has 60 instructors.
ACE course offerings are extensive. ACE works with high schools to decide which General Education (GE) courses fit their campus. A partial list of courses includes Child and Adolescent Development, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, History, Environmental and Political Science, Photography, and World Languages.
About ACE
The ACE Program allows qualified high school students (11th and 12th grade only) to enroll in classes at Sacramento State and earn university credits while completing regular high school studies.
Through ACE, advanced high school students can study subject matter which may not otherwise be available to them. Qualified students may take courses at Sacramento State provided that they maintain good academic standing with both the University and their high schools. Credits earned while participating in ACE may be applied to degree programs at Sacramento State or may be transferred to other universities.
